Frequently asked questions
Which GLP-1 schedule should I follow?+
If you're prescribed brand product (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound), follow your prescriber's titration. The label schedules in this tool are the FDA-approved defaults for each product. Compounded versions should be titrated under medical supervision.
What is the standard Wegovy titration?+
Wegovy uses a 16-week titration: 0.25 mg weekly for 4 weeks, then 0.5 mg, then 1.0 mg, then 1.7 mg, then 2.4 mg as the maintenance dose. Many patients hold longer at lower doses depending on tolerance.
What is the difference between Mounjaro and Zepbound?+
Same active ingredient (tirzepatide), same dose schedule. Mounjaro is FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes; Zepbound is FDA-approved for chronic weight management. Both titrate from 2.5 mg → 15 mg by 2.5 mg every 4 weeks.
How accurate are the volume and unit numbers?+
They are mathematically exact for the vial size and BAC water you enter. Real-world variation comes from vial overfill (typically 5–15%) and syringe dead-space. Always double-check your math.
